Job Description:

Our multinational client is currently recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Manager for an initial 6-month contract role within a regulated environment in Cork.
Responsibilities:
 Provides the leadership, direction, and guidance on Service Infrastructure governance and maintains activities in line with industry standards for these operations.
 Ensures all relevant application, server, and supporting infrastructure remain operational and deliver the agreed service to the business.
 Manage all Infrastructure project logistics from Project Delivery, Issue Resolution, Stakeholder engagement/management and Providing regular project updates
 Builds relationships with service partners and ensure all services are delivered to the appropriate level of quality and agreed to SLA.
 Provide leadership to and drive the Infrastructure function, to develop a high performing team with a commercial and delivery focused culture, ensuring team members have clear objectives and clear role direction
 To ensure the team carry out general infrastructure housekeeping and daily health checks to enterprise best practises and standards.
 Develop excellent day-to-day working relationships with all ICT teams, particularly the ICT Service Delivery, Security and Project Delivery Teams.
 Drive technology solutions that are focused on long term business success and lowest TCO.
 Develop/implement Service Level Agreements for system availability/performance for on-premise and cloud-based solutions
 Design the infrastructure architecture for new applications, services and capabilities in line with the Infrastructure strategy.
 Implement and oversee the monitoring of all core systems and ensuring issues are proactively dealt with.
 Accountability for the successful implementation of Infrastructure activities as part of BAU and project delivery.
 

Role:

Desired Skills & Experience:
 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another computer-related discipline
 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure design and data centre management (both on-prem and preferably Azure cloud)
 5+ years of management experience in a technology environment
 3+ years of experience of leading a team of minimum 5-6 employees in a previous role is mandatory
 Prior experience working within a global company, working across major geographic regions is mandatory
 Delivery of Infrastructure projects including areas such as Cloud, storage, virtualisation, LAN/WAN, security, network, back-up, etc.
 Development of strategies and architectural roadmaps for areas of technology specialism, demonstrating experience of Cloud.
 Experience leading teams and influencing senior management ideas and direction
 Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and exceptional service orientation.
 Possess an understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, ITIL guidelines and how operations automation helps improve IT services and ITSM processes
 Understanding of manufacturing industry and operating environments is preferable
